Dynamic Research Technologies, LLC was founded in 2005 and its headquarters and main manufacturing plant are located in Grant City, MO.
The key people behind DRTT have extensive experience and background in the worldwide ammunition business and when the opportunity came to engage in research of what we like to refer to as "a real world alternative to conventional lead-based ammunition", we knew we are going to make history. Our ammunition has been sold to law enforcement and government agencies for a decade and has been serving our country overseas.
Our frangible bullet breaks apart upon penetration of an organic target and returns to its original powder form while still being able to deliver terminal effects on the target. The high density frangible bullets will disintegrate upon impact with a hard target such as steel or rock and thus reduce the risk of ricochet and personal injury.
The successful law enforcement application of our product led to extensive R&D in the field of hunting and in 2007 we introduced just the perfect round for the determined hunter. We have tested our hunting rounds worldwide in different climate conditions, performing terminal shots over 1,000 yards. We teamed up with Safari Club International TV in 2007 to get some of the incredible hits on camera (Expedition Safari airs on the Versus channel).

Statement of the president
I got involved in the ammunition manufacturing business because DRT is truly a revolutionary product. To steal a phrase from Don Mikko, it is the first change in ammunition for at least 100 years, since the invention of smokeless powder. Frangible ammunition has been around for a while with a bad reputation , did not come apart and was not very accurate. This product puts to rest both of those problems. It is extremely accurate at long ranges and returns to its original powder state having tremendous terminal damage. The ammo has many advantages compared to traditional projectiles and several different applications. It is currently accepted by law enforcement and special government agencies. It has been used by spec. ops in conflicts around the world for 10 years. This will be the first time it will be offered to the hunting world.
I will attempt to explain why our ammo works and within the web site you will see evidence of what I am saying. We start with making of the jacket on the same machine that makes the entire bullet. Our jackets have centricity of less than two tenths of one thousands. That has never been done in the ammunition world. We inject a core of powdered metal, it does not compress. When we finish this process, we make a bullet with perfect spin stability. We then combine the bullet with prepped brass. By prepped I mean, sized, cut to length, and weighed for a perfect match. Our neck size is within one half of a thousand's. We measure our powder to three tenth of a grain. As you can see, this is what makes our bullet fly. Now to the frangibility. Our bullet is encapsulated in cooper just like others, but we use a core of powdered metal not lead. We start with a fine mesh to make the core, it has been said much like the mesh of face powder. The hollow point acts like a hydraulic system once it hits the liquid in soft tissue and peals away the jacket to expose the fine dust rotating at high speeds. There are no large chunks, just fine dust doing the terminal damage.
